If you are inspired to write about something else, go for it; the theme wasn't meant to stifle your ability to write about certain topics. If other people are upset about you drifting from the theme, it will just provide more things to write about! Isn't that rather poetic? As for circuits, I am glad I don't have to know anything about them, but I like hearing about your [mis]adventures with them, so keep it coming!
