[...] Holidays have been used in the past to paste some pictures together for my background image. This time it was a change of role as well. As I’ve once stated, I don’t really like the “sustainability” title on things. It’s much too management whereas I like focusing on engineering. So I stuck to the “renewable energy” stuff, or so I said. In the meantime I’ve realized that I really don’t write about renewable energy anymore. It turned out it WAS a passing phase for me, as Cherish from “Faraday’s Cage is where you put Schroedinger’s Cat” once said in the comments of a post. [...]

I'm diggin that Op-Amp picture you got there. Is that a 741 8pin? Those things are THE SHIT!

Okay, just kidding. I mean, they're fine and all, but I don't know anything about them except the pin numberings. Oh yeah.

I like the pics, the circuit diagram may as well be a poem in Sanskrit since it doesn't make any sense to me, but that's because I'm clueless.

also, with the capacitors, they might be kindof old school with the through-hole design, but modern surface mount capacitors look like... well... nothing, they're just little tiny boxes with a minute bit of solder on each end. I would even be game for one of the old Edison-style carbon filament lightbulbs just to give it that extra analog nostalgia.

Sorry I haven't been commenting much lately, I have been crazy busy!

I like the graphics. Definitely adds to the image. What is the circuit, though? I'm curious. :-)

The one thing that surprised me is that you added renewable energy. I know you've been writing a lot about that lately, but do you honestly think that's going to be a major, long-term theme of your blog? If not, I'd think about taking it out of your title. (Although you don't have to remove the relevant graphics.) If so, I'll be curious to read what you come up with.

Cheers!

PS - My husband said the caps in your graphic look like cheap ones. ;-) Through-hole...must you?
